Paperless Emails Sent to Wrong Email Address

  • 1.  Paperless Emails Sent to Wrong Email Address

    Version 5.30.1 Advanced.  Customers are receiving the wrong invoice.  This is nuts.  Any ideas?

    We have a customer that had this issue intermittently and inconsistently over a couple years. We never could get to the bottom of it. 
    Our best guess is that it has something to do with server resources or the SMTP service. They changed this up a while back and we haven't seen it.

    There is a Sage KB article (70776) for something similar with a few suggestions.

    Do you know if this resolved the issue for you? Have a client with this exact same problem on Version 2023 Advanced 7.20.1, They were originally having issues on version 2020 and I was hoping the upgrade of Sage would help, it did not. I did try this on the workstations sending out the PDFs but it doesn't appear to have resolved the issue.

    Curious what you found.

    Don't use the Keep Open options when emailing PDF's.  That is known to cause problems.

    @Preston Weber  I looked back at my notes and the issue was caused by someone changing the paperless office customer email address to an incorrect address.  Fortunately, the issue occurred a few weeks after an upgrade and i had a "To Convert" copy of the mas90 folder that I was able to look at to determine the email address had been changed.

    The only have 1 person doing PDF emailing for the Sales Order Invoices. There is backup resource but she only does it if needed, with that said I will double check to make sure of this. thanks!!
