We set up Paperless with a Gmail account for a Sage 100 2024 customer BUT it prompts for a login every time when sending emails.  Gmail has MFA turned off, allows less secure apps, and no luck.  I'm trying to determine if there is a fix or if this is working as designed.

Any advice?  I'm hoping someone else has experienced and resolved this issue.

    Thank you!

@Jhiam Marasigan pretty sure that does not work anymore. I went with an outside SMTP provider, SMTP2GO. Never looked back.

Hey Jhiam - According to Google, they fully retired (restricted) Less Secure Apps on September 30, 2024. What I don't know is if you can still turn MFA = ON but then use the option to set an App Password then feed that as the SMTP password in Sage. We've done that for some customers but not sure if it would work again today.

If App Password doesn't work, then I presume your options are either use oAuth with Gmail or use a 3rd party email like SMTP2GO which I've used and many people here have used successfully.
