Paperless e-mailing v4.3.12 and KnowledgeSync Alerts - Client recently started experiencing issues with KS alerts. Alert sends multiple e-mails for invoices issued that day to addressess based on the paperless customer invoice table. On occasion, only one invoice will be sent. The KS log indicates that all invoice e-mails were generated. If I manually rerun the alert, all invoice e-mails are sent. The alert from Saturday failed so we tried today to send the invoice via the paperless system. The e-mail failed to deliver. When I send a test message from the e-mail tab of company maintenance, the test message is received. Client virtualized their Exchange server a few weeks back which was about the time the alerts started failing. Thoughts?

Are you able to provide more details about the Exchange virutalzation (OS version, Exchange version, Was it installed fresh or was it a P2V conversion, are any other programs having email problems)? If it were me, I would start by having a look at the Exchange queues and watching them when you send various test messages. The goal would be to identify whether the test messages were making it into Exchange or were getting stopped before they got in.

Your test messages may not have the same characteristics as the KS ones. DId you check the Exchange server logs to see if anything was rejected at the time of the Alert and why? There are the application and system event logs as well as the w3c SMTP log (if it's turned on.)

I've not been getting good support from Vineyardsoft since December. I've sent emails multiple times with no response; they promised that version 8.1 would be out back in December and it still isn't. Not sure what's going on with them.

Thanks - In an attempt to rule out (or in) the exchange server, I changed the MAS e-mail settings to use my Comcast account. My thinking is that this would bypass Exchange entirely. The MAS e-mail test worked as well as the paperless testing. I will get more information on the exchange configuration.
