  • 1.  Paperless Directory error is bogus

    Sage 100 2022 Premium getting the following error today everywhere in Sage 100 when printing Journals to paperless:  "The directory in P/L Journal and Register Maintenance is invalid or is not accessible from this workstation."  However users can access that directory and save a file there.  What else could trigger that error?  It even happens under admin login on the server.

    Rights for the account who is running the service?

    Does it work if you run in MAS 90 mode?

    It does work in MAS90 mode...having IT confirm/deny that the user running the "service" (it runs as  an app) still has permissions to the Paperless folder.

    Mapped drive path?  Or UNC?

    If UNC, perhaps there is a DNS issue resolving the server name...

    Also double-check the Paperless settings to make sure nobody added extra entries, or messed with the paths.

    Add another one to the "Stupid IT Tricks" list:  They changed the password of the user running the Sage 100 app on the server, but didn't log out and log back in...Paperless files are on a different server.

    This can be taken out of urgent.
