    Am I the only one having a spate (for the last month or so) of EXTREMELY stubborn paperless errors who don't seem to respond to the usual fixes?  Workstation reinstall, PL_AdvancedOptions_UI, change permissions on Registry entry, change security on printer, run Sage As Admin, etc, etc....

    I've had several lately.  If the usual re-install doesn't work and there are not jobs and locks folders in the registry, then I go nuclear and remove the Amyuni driver, then do the re-install.  Control Panel, Devices and Printers, pick any printer, click on Print Server Properties at the top of the screen, choose the Amyuni driver then click reove.

    I'm not getting those calls now. However, I feel that I've gone through a run of them as well but at different times. In some cases I blame it on Windows updates that clobber the Amyuni setup. 

    I also feel like the fixes are not always the same. 


    It reminds me a lot of FRx where there were three or four different fixes that you could apply and sometimes there was no reason why one fix worked for one customer and didn't for another.

    Sage should have one document that lists the potential solutions in the order of most likely to resolve the situation.

    So far, this Sage KB 103205 seems like the closest/most comprehensive on how to resolve Paperless Office errors ( even though the title of the article - Paperless Office printing prompts manually for PDF location after Windows updates installed) is only one of the various errors which basically mean "paperless office error".

    Count me in on having the problem. Mostly with one client where they repeatedly get the Error -30 so often that we have had to train the end user how to reinstall it. This is happening at 2 workstations now. Reinstalling the PL_AdvancedOptions_UI and setting permissions in Regedit and on the printer fixes it for a random amount of time – sometimes they have to repeat this multiple times a day and sometimes it lasts for a couple of weeks.

     

    I am going to talk to their IT about removing other PDF printers on the workstation if they are not needed. But that is just a shot in the dark at this point.
