  • 1.  Palletization Software - Read data from Sage

    Hello, I have a question about palletization. A client has the need to determine the pallet load for orders in advance of the shipment.  Does anyone know of an application that can "build" the suggested pallet configuration?  Ideally, the data would come from Sage, i.e., order, items, item dimensions, weight etc. needed for building the pallet(s).

    Scanco does palletization with ACSG multi bin.  ScanForce has been working on it but not sure if it is ready yet.

    We had a similar request for creation of purchase orders that would conform to the requirements for shipping containers.  We never did find a solution.  Something to help "build" and not just track would be slick.

    We have several clients with Scanco and ACSG multi-bin using pallets and the overall experience has not been very good.  Lots of bugs and very little support getting them fixed - quantities that are wrong, pallets ID's that disappear, allocations get cleared.  We spend a significant amount of time troubleshooting the software, begging them to fix it and when it finally does work the client is terrified to upgrade because they don't want to go through it all again.

    The latest we have from ScanForce is they are working on pallets and expect to have something available Q1 2020 but no firm dates.
