  • 1.  Packing Slips added to Paperless

Does anyone know of an enhancement that adds Packing Slips to Paperless?  So you would have a separate entry in Paperless for the email to send the Packing list to, and Packing list would be able to be emailed?  Didn't see it at DSD.

I don't know of anything that adds a new Paperless top level form.

For anything odd like this we've done the setup as an automated Visual Cut / SAW / KS report (where the email address settings could be in a UDF).  The main drawback is the Customer Viewer not having the entry / PDF details... unless it's Premium and you want to script adding the row to the table manually (which we have done).

My client has Paperless Packing Lists (SOPP/OPP custom programming) from DSD on their v2021 system.  Originally developed Apr '18 for v2017.

So currently it is just custom, they haven't added it to their list?  Or as usual my searching sucks.  But at least I know it can be done!  Thank you, @Brett Zimmerman!

Yes, I too was a little surprised DSD never packaged it as an off-the-shelf solution.  I couldn't locate it anywhere either?  Since this was originally created almost 7 years ago, I'm thinking there must have been a reason not to package it.  Maybe not enough demand?

I  realize you asked about Paperless Office and what I'm sharing is NOT Paperless Office but is an alternate solution which I mention for the benefit of anyone else who may search in the future and just in case your customer is open to a non-Paperless Office option. I also see that your asking about having a separate entry in Paperless specific to the packing list so that the document could be sent to the appropriate email ( which might not be the same as the email which the invoice is sent to).

I don't have a solution for that however I can share:

I have a customer who acquire DSD SO Instadocs which can add the packing list to InstaDocs. I don't believe they email the paperless packing list  ( and I did note that was part of your original question and that you also appear to have a requirement that the packing list be sent to a separate email address) although it appears from the DSD documentation that this might be possible depending on how the InstaDoc document is tagged. It was several years ago that we implemented this so I'm a big hazy on setup. I don't believe that any email using InstaDocs would go to a separate email address as it seems like it's just added to paperless.

Just an FYI for anyone searching in the future
