Out of curiosity ... how far back is Sage support going for Sage 100? I thought it was 2 version back, right? Just found out that Sage CRM is only supported 1 version back (to Sage CRM 7.1).

That is an ""it all depends on the definition of support"" question. The support two versions for product update (patch bundles) and 4 versions for phone and possible hot patch. https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/viewdocument.do?noCount=true&externalId=31477&sliceId=1&cmd=displayKC&dialogID=14704&docType=kc&isLoadPublishedVer=&stateId=14706&docTypeID=DT_Article&ViewedDocsListHelper=com.kanisa.apps.common.BaseViewedDocsListHelperImpl

    At least two versions back.

The number of (fully) supported versions is narrowing enough that I'm now telling all customers they should be on the latest versions. I suspect within the next year or two I will see more customers upgrading annually on some type of automatic upgrade plan with us.

Sage CRM was always 2 versions. It somehow was changed to 1 version back. I'm wondering if someone could check on Sage 100 and verify it is still 2 versions? They snuck this in on the CRM side ... maybe they had a quiet policy change on all the products?

Sage also slipstreamed their version support. I am pretty sure they used to support extra versions on product updates. I brought this to their attention the past two Summit's but I suspect they are focused on keeping people current so they can have an easier time selling them more stuff.

What they say they will support and what they actually support can be to be two different things. Some of the rescue situations we're going in to running retired versions tell me that they get the ""you need to upgrade"" line followed quickly by support for the issue ... and leverage walks right out the door.
