Our existing Sage CRM clients are linked to Sage 100. When they are remote users their IT department has set up connections via Terminal Services. We have a prospect that does not want to use Terminal Services for remote users, but instead access CRM via the internet and a VPN connection. Are there any known issues with this configuration for remote users who want to access CRM as well as link to Sage 100 (MAS 200)? Thanks in advance, Leonard

Anything Crystal Reports based is potentially a bottleneck - at least it has been on the Sage 100 Advanced side. I have a similar customer but Sage 100 Advanced only who has refused suggestions to use an RDP type connection and it's a never ending complaint-fest about the speed (or lack of).

Not sure with the new Sage CRM link to Sage 100 2014. Integration is still new. For older versions, Sage 100 screen pops will be brutal over VPN. Test with a single user before rolling out. Or use Greytrix integration. Save some hassles.

Thanks for the info. How is CRM standalone -without MAS integration - response time when you are remote and access it via the internet and a VPN??

Should be fine. It's designed for web access. I used to run it over a modem back in the day. Routinely access my system using 3G cellular as well with no problems.

Many thanks! I have learned not to trust what Sage says until I bounce it by real world sites.
