Our client is implementing a Terminal Server only environment. This should be much easier for us to help administer their Sage install now. The current installed version of Sage is MAS200 4.4 and they have MS Office 2013 installed in the RDP environment. They were previously able to use the Sage Business Insights Explorer for simple queries and export it to their Excel 2010. This was when it was all on their desktops and the older Excel version. They now cannot export the data to Excel. We are trying to figure out if this is a compatibility issue with the MAS 4.4 and Excel 2013 or if it is a function of the RDP environment. Does anyone have any insight?

Make sure it is 32 bit Office 2013 and not 64 Bit.

That's it, Jim. It's 64 bit Office 2013. Will installing 64 bit ODBC help? We will be upgrading to either 2013 or 1024 within the next couple of weeks.

64 bit ODBC won't be recognized by the BIE. so if they can limp without you have your answer,

the other option is to uninstall 64 bit and replace with 32 bit.

I found a Sage KB article (ID: 30531) that gives details about making this work. I am working with IT to try and make it happen and will let you know the outcome.

Microsoft still recommends installing 32 bit version of their office products in a RDP environment.... go figure. Jim is correct.
