Yes, that is the current plan. The goal was to have only those items be int he entry screen, as they prefer to key in the quantities, but not have to skip the hundreds of zero lines.

You could create a version of the report setting that is CSV export friendly that only includes items with a quantity on hand and run the worksheet with the option to print the worksheet only then use the exported items as the source for a VI import job into IM_Physical.

Thank you @Madeline Stefanou for confirming! That is the exact situation. They have a report that only prints the non-zero quantity items, yet they are telling me that the zero on-hand items have never been on the Entry screen.

I have modified the printed worksheet for a few clients to allow them to print only for those items that have quantities. But then when they key in the counts then need to use caution because all items are frozen including those with zero counts. If they are not careful, the counts get added to the wrong line items. I have never heard of a functionality to "freeze" only items with a quantity on hand. Did they maybe have something custom that was not documented?
