Sage 100

One user keeps getting prompted for Sage Payment Solutions/Sage Exchange updates. They don't use Sage Payment Solutions. Can the prompt for the update be disabled?

Uninstall Sage Exchange on the workstation?

That would seem to be a logical answer. I wonder how/why it was installed. I hope some Sage 100 programs don't expect to see it installed or become inoperable.

Yes. So uninstalling it would create an issue. I wish there was an option to disable updates, so I could do the updates on my time frame instead of interrupting the users business day. It seems there have been a lot of updates recently. Logging in as administrator to install the update on every user computer that needs it is getting old.

You need it if you are only storing credit cards.

Prior to v2017, this was installed when you installed the WK setup. SPS v2.0 is a separate install now so you only need to put it on workstations that send receive card information. I would uninstall it and go from there.

Thanks @KevinMoyes @WayneSchulz and @JeffSchwenk Good to know. This is 2015 Advanced. I am going to uninstall it and see if anything blows up.

I have the best luck going direct to the Sage Exchange side and downloading SED 2.0 and install using run as administrator.

Keep in mind that if a user is trying to make a ""company copy"", it will require the Sage Exchange to complete the company copy.
