One of THOSE Fridays. Installed Avatax on Std yesterday and client machines getting error about DLL not registered. Tried the .bat as it, tried modifying it as shown in Avalara KB. Don't get errors, but also can't see that it says it registered. Running .bat As Admin.

Presume you found the Avalara KB instructions

Yes, and had to make a change to them. It was not finding the DLL, so had to add the path into the instructions. THEN it finally worked.

Additional - the first set of instructions showed the Pause command on the same line. That did nothing. Second place we found the instructions that showed Pause on its own line and so that let us actually see what was happening, and we could then see that it was not finding the dll

https://help.avalara.com/004_AvaTax_Integrations/Microsoft_Dynamics_NAV/001_Dynamics_NAV_User_Guide/220_Troubleshoot_DLL_Errors_in_Dynamics_NAV - this is the link that showed the Pause on the second line but here is what I actually had to type in C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\regasm.exe C:\Avatax\Avalara.AvaTax.Adapter.dll /tlb /codebase Pause

This is the KB that they pointed me to a few weeks ago for an issue where the user received a DLL not registered. This particular user had moved from one server to another (an increasingly common occurrence) . https://help.avalara.com/kb/001/Why_am_I_getting_a_.dll_is_not_registered_error_when_trying_to_use_Sage_100%3F

Yes, that's the one we first saw, but the Pause being on the same line didn't help (and I didn't know any better about where to put it). So it was the MS link that showed that same line differently, then when the Pause worked, I could see it wasn't finding the DLL, so I added the explicit path for the DLL and then it worked.
