Are you using the bar code field that comes with the form???? If you are, try widening the field width. Very hard to tell the exact size required, so I always start big and work my way back. If you aren't using the built in formula, try that first. Are you using the Azalea fonts that come with?

Yes using azalea fonts. How do you widen the field width. ALready using ""very wide"" font.

Grab the text box and resize it - also you can test bar codes in Excel using the same fonts and see if it's app issue.

Sales order number scans but puts a 6 in front and an 02 at the end. so SO# 0151525 scans to 6015152502.

In the scanner manual it should have a sequence of scans you run to program the device.

That is probably from the scanner program it so that you don't have preceding or trailing info.

Also, the scanner may need to have the carriage return activated so it exits the field properly

I have the manual and am looking at it. Its 300 pages long.. trying to wade through it.

Figured it out. Over-thinking it for 2 hours. No need to use formulas. Simply right click on the filed, choose ""Change to barcode"" and the select barcode 128 b. Thanks for the quick responses.

Very interesting alright. The formulas included with the picking ticket are worthless.

i thought you just inserted one of the predefined formulas into the report and changed the font to a bar code font. That's what I have always done. Set up many scanners with carriage returns / line feeds, check digits, etc. Never suspected the formulas wouldn;t work any longer.

@DougHiggs - I am so glad you posted this. I was having no luck with the formula on the SO form and tried the right click ""change to barcode"" and it worked! I had never noticed that option.

Yes, it was a lot of screwing around to eventually discover an easy solution.
