    On a quick look I did not see this noted so I thought I would mentioned. It also may be in the upgrade steps and I have overlooked it. When you upgrade to 2018 the pad file setting of the interface setup has changed from a dropdown to a checkbox combined with a radio button and in our upgrade did not convert. Screenshots attached with a comparison. The setting is on the top right of the screen before and after the upgrade.

    Are you saying that you had to manually check the box and select the pad size option?
