Old topic? How to get balance sheet accounts in a trend report from 4.4? Client does not have FRx or the SMI Designer. They have Crystal and SMI Report manager.

Not an option using the balance options in the financial report wizard. You might try the trend report route as you are prompted for the GL account range. My fear is that this will only give you the monthly transactions, NOT the ME balances.

Are you able to write the report for them in your version of Designer, then import the template for them?

two things with that: I didn't think you could import a report unless you have one more component installed. Don't they need the designer to run the report? You are correct in the trend report doesn't accept balance sheet accounts. the old trend report used to.

We talked to Alchemex, and there is a back-door method for importing the reports. I've attached the document we got from them.
