  • 1.  Old timey GL Financials

    You youngsters can ignore this question.

    Have a client using the old GL financials and just added a new account.
    On a consolidated statement (but with that account printing as part of a Detail line), it works fine.
    When we try to print the divisional statement that this account belongs to, it asks about updating, looks like it starts to update, then just disappears.
    I have created new ones from scratch, and they printed out that account FINE until I added the lines AFTER it.
    If I put it as the very last line on the divisional statement, it prints.
    I've rebuilt all files in GL, including sort.  I've pulled up each custom financial file in DFDM to make sure it was reading all records and would bring them up on a Key search.

    With no error message, I'm at a loss....

    I could have SWORN this was fixed in v3.33!!!!!  I hate it when bugs escape back into the wild!!

    Problem might also be OS related..  Is it still an issue when you run it on your DOS 5.0 Tandy PC?  I have a functioning Compaq out in the shed if you need to test on that!

    @Beth Bowers i do have  printed copy of General Ledger, Chapter 6, Using Custom Financial Statements, if you think that could help with your problem.  I don't see very much in technical troubleshooting of the issue  you are experiencing.  I would have thought rebuilding file would have resolved the issue.  LMK if I should scan and email you the document I have, (as reference). ​​​

    Client has created a new account and moved the single transaction to that account and it's not causing an issue.  Something to do with that account, but no idea what.  Going to delete it and move on.
