    Have a client with multiple companies.  Each company is using the old Custom Financial Reporting with identical (I've printed the Details out and compared) reports.  In one company, the description that prints for an account (and this is a Detail type line, NOT Consolidated) is printing the description of an Inactive account that has no balance.  The dollars are correct, but they are not from that account.

    In the other company, the line descriptions print OK.

    I've tried to find what may be different between them, but I'm at a loss.  I've compared Sub Account Maintenance (the description has the sub account for the inactive account appended), the reports, the accounts - everything looks identical.

    I just tested their 2022 version, and it was not happening in there.  They recently upgrade to 2025.  WHICH means - asking about this is probably useless - some bug has been introduced.  DANG IT.

    Hm.  I wonder if I can copy over the programs from 2022 into 2025... Off to try that.  Don't worry, it's a test server. 

    OK - update - none of the Custom Financial programs have any different dates from the 2022 version. FOOF.

    What about putting that data set in 2024? And did you try a different 2025 with a different user a different company code all that fun stuff? Gotta love Sage.

    When did they move away from DOS and Novell?  Are they still using Lotus?

    I wonder if Sage is doing this for a reason?  Or is it just coincidence?  Hint Hint!

    I have found that saying "NO" gets easier the more often you say it.  This is one of those times where it is NO brainer!

    Thanks, @Madeline Stefanou, but since the report details and headers look EXACTLY the same, I'm not thinking the doc is going to help (especially since it worked in 2022 before upgrading)

    Have you looked for any differences in the description in GL_Account vs. GL_AccountHistory ?

    @Beth Bowers I seem to recall even when everything "looked" correct it still did not work and re-creating the lines/report was the only thing that worked.
    OIdest Fossil - FM Series, Apple II & III on floppies! LOL
