OK. This is just spooky (and not because we're near Halloween). Two separate clients reported that they were not prompted to print a Daily Transaction Register after updating the Payroll Check Register. There is no data in the GL Daily Posting file. We had to create JEs to record the check run. They both happened two weeks ago but I only found out about one of them today. Both have run subsequent payrolls since without posting problems.

Did you by chance check Activity Log to make sure they didn't uncheck the 'integrate with' check box and then turn it back on? Weird that it would be at 2 different clients though. I had a client tell me today, they turn off integration on a regular basis from AR to GL when they want to stop a remote location from posting while corporate is trying to post! My answer? You Do What??? Don't do that!!!

Maybe someone messed with Role Maint?

I somewhat remember an issue that could come up if payroll had printed checks and someone went into accounts payable and printed checks and then cleared . Wasn't there some type of issue where the payroll checks could clear if they had not been posted? Maybe I'm dreaming or hallucinating on Halloween candy. ...

What about the dreaded CLEAR button that appears on the Payroll Daily Trans update prompt?

I like Greg's theory better. I think the issue I am thinking of is if someone does a ""hot print"" check in AP then another person comes along and does a computer check run. There was some type of conflict (at least in old versions) which I seem to recall overwriting the data.

All interesting theories but in both cases, same person does AP and PR so doubt there's a conflict there. Will check Activity Log for changing integration. Both claim they never got the prompt to print the DTR, so CLEAR is unlikely. Just plain strange.

I just had a client find that her DTR from her 10/14 payroll is missing. I wonder if we're going to see more of these as people start working on month-end?

This is the same week ending as my clients. Better start checking with all PR clients. Jeez!
