OK, this is a weird one. Client said that just recently this started doing this. Only change was turning on Shipping. In Sales Order Entry, if you choose a different Contact from the Confirm To field lookup, it brings in the contact CODE instead of the contact NAME. And if you create a new contact, it will work correctly the first time. Now I'm getting this from their IT guy, who I HIGHLY respect. But this just has me totally flabbergasted!

4.50. And @WayneSchulz - you know I suck at searches, but I looked for Contact Code back to July 2012 and nothing yet.

Oh, yeah, that one. This one is so weird because how can the program read from two different fields in the same file? DOES NOT COMPUTE.

@BethBowers is it happening all the time ? If so I would look in the contact code file and see if there is a bad record that is having the program read a different field . I am on 4.50.6 and can't recreate your issue.

@DianeRuth - I was going to have him rebuild the file tonight AND create a Crystal Report to look through the data to see if anything stuck out. I couldn't recreate, either.

I usually do an ODBC extract into excel as its much easier to line up many columns to look for anomolies whereas you run into tough line wrapping issues in Crystal with complex tables
