OK, third client in as many weeks, several different versions of MAS. All of them are complaining about an HP laser printer that needs to have a button pushed before it will print from MAS. One has it waiting for the manual feed tray and the other two just need to push the ready button. Now on one, if I rechose that printer in Printer Setup, it worked OK, for that one time. Anyone else had this happening? I haven't checked models yet to see if it's all the same HP or not.

Wow, all you have to do is solve one and then charge for all three.................. So it works fine for word documents? Is it a standard form being sent to a printer shared by others? What if you set up its own form code? is the standard printer setting on in company maintenance? So many questions, so few answers.....................

HP 2035, I presume. From the times I've come across this: At the printing screen in MAS 90/200, click the Printer Setup button and go into the Preferences where you can specify the default tray, and specify Tray 2 - and that should help. The setting change will likely ""stick"" for Forms (checks, invoices, etc.) but for Reports you may wish to just keep paper in the manual feed. (Wonder if you can create a new printer that's hard-coded for the default tray.)

I'll check on the model. It does not happen from Word, but happens from reports and forms alike in MAS. In two of the cases, the printer replaced an earlier HP.

I have a had a couple instances where an HP printer replaced a previous HP and until we removed all trace of the previous HP printer drivers we had grief getting the new one to respond to MAS.

I have the same issue with a client. We set the printer with Tray 2 as the default tray (it was set to Auto) and that solved the problem with most of the MAS forms/reports, but messed up other programs, like Word. I am going to set up a duplicate printer in Windows Printers on the client's computer and name it something like ""MAS Printer"" for use when printing from MAS and then they can use the original printer for everything else. Hopefully this will fix the issue they are having now with changing the paper tray depending on the program they are working in.

It's so nice to not be alone. :-) I'll use some of these suggestions and see how I fare. THANKS!
