Ok, so while the upgrade from hell drags on, I have a question from a NICE client. The Salesperson Analysis report is showing customers on the 2016 report that have not had sales since 2010 AND who now have a different salesperson setup in Customer Maintenance. I.e. in 2010, they had a sales with Salesperson A. They are now setup with Salesperson B. If you run the Salesperson Analysis Report for 2016 for Salesperson A, the customer is on there (with 0 sales, of course). Any idea WHY? Why are they on there in the first place, and why are they under the wrong salesperson?

I have an end user that I'm working on now who plans to go live in January. We have some test postings in December 2016. If I run the analysis report for November 2016 all the customers with sales in Dec 2016 show up with zero sales. When I flip the date range to December 2016 I get totals. I do not get any customers who have no sales whatsoever. Am guessing that this report is showing people with any activity in history even if not in the date range? Also, I did see that if you use split commissions that Sage will only show the assigned salesperson and not allocate any portion of sales to the other salespeople who may have been on the split. This to me seems right but I guess in some cases people may think that they can use this sales report to back into commissions and if you use splits I don't think that will work.

I just tested in v2016 PU 2. My version always uses the ""current"" sales person assigned in Customer Maintenance. And it always includes every customer, even those with zero sales in the period I choose.

@MadelineStefanou - but did your customer have sales SOMETIME with the new salesperson?

I have sales for Sales Person 0000 and Sales Person SALE for a specific customer (same year). If I change the Customer Master, and re-run the report (grouped by Sales Person); and Filtered (for just the sales person currently on the customer master), the report includes all sales for the year. The sales originally posted to salesperson 0000 and the new sale I posted to salesperson SALE.

So that's probably my customer's issue - they have had no sales under the new salesperson listed in Customer Maintenance. And re customers showing up even if no sales - that's just WAD. THANKS everyone.
