Ok my MRP friends and neighbors, ran MRP in a test environment and demand only passed through to the first level subassy. At that level, the Projected On Hand stopped calculating. Displayed the current OH, but then zeroes for the remainder of demand. Hence sending zero demand to the lower level components. I have checked everything I can think of...settings, make/buy, yada yada. Never seen it display zeroes in the Projected OH column.

I hired Martin and Associates to modify the MRP calculation program to calculate down to five levels for this very reason.

Ok, here's an example of the calculation problem. I really need suggestions. Note that Projected Demands is not calculating.

How many levels in the bills? Bill validation report any issues? Is WO part of the modules?

Do the acronym MRP and the word 'friends' belong in the same sentence?

Why @RobertWood do you mean it should be MVP?

@RobertWood , you crack me up! @MoiraGoggin , this is the first level sub-assy. It sees the demand, but does not calculate the Projected On Hand. With no calculation of that demand, nothing passes through to the components.

Is there a qty on SO or backorder for the top level item(s) for this sub-assembly?

You can see the WO demand from the parent. It sees the demand from it's parent, but MRP is not using that information to calculate a POH.

I assume MRP Options integrated with WO is checked on - is this the only item with 0 poh or are there others?

Not sure if this is the only item. I analyzed the normal culprits - BOM Val, structure, open orders, procurement type...I've never seen it not calculate a POH where demand exists.

Oh, and yes, Options are set to integrate with WO and to use WO Routing for leadtime calculation.

Is this 4.3? Found this (must log into the partner portal to open) https://partners.sagenorthamerica.com/irj/go/km/docs/sageKM/Sage%20MAS%2090%20and%20200/Gated%20Customers/Warr_Svc_Support%20Plan/515127.html and this https://partners.sagenorthamerica.com/irj/go/km/docs/sageKM/Sage%20MAS%2090%20and%20200/Gated%20Customers/Warr_Svc_Support%20Plan/530242.html

Reported (according to Sage KB) in 4.30 and was fixed with pu17 - but later still shows as an issue in 4.30.18 and 4.30.21...and we know MRP changes very little being legacy - per KB ""This situation occurs when the item is being both supplied and demanded on the same work order."" What's on the work order?

Did relinking and Rebuilding MRP related files. Over 2000 pages of errors for workorder.. lots o Bad blocks. Rebuild sorts too. However, same results. Item has no WO replenishment or WO demand from parent - only SO demand on Parent (see bitmap posted earlier). Still not calculating projected on hand even though it recognizes the demand.
