Ok maybe I'm crazy - but read this story that Seth Fineberg did on Himanshu Palsule and tell me whether the headline could just as easily have been that 67% of Sage partners unsure of re-branding. Also there's a crazy paragraph at the end which seems to imply that Sage's products are (or shortly will be) self-upgradeable. I'm hoping that what Himanshu was talking about was Peachtree (Which would have fit given that he was at the Sleeter Conference which dealt mostly with QuickBooks level products). Here's the quote: 'If you used to make a livelihood at a certain end of the value chain, you may need to change that. Go help clients with your advice and expertise and don't worry about the next upgrade.' I hope all partners can make the leap.

The beginning of the above quote is, ""We are still a partner company in a world with diminishing partner companies..."" Hmm...

Hmmm.... nothing too surprising right? Evolve or die. I think any partner thinking that it's going to be same old same old going forward is being myopic. http://summitdiary.com/2011/11/04/is-your-company-stuck-in-a-comfortable-maybe-profitable-rut/

I think you missed Himanshu's quote that 1/3 of the partners were supportive of the re-branding -- which by my math means about 67% of partners are less than enthusiastic.

I read it. But flip it around and you could say that only 1/3 of the partners are skeptical. Ultimately who cares? That's most certainly a made up number. Did anyone here get a call to survey their thoughts? Doubtful.
