OK, I win the prize this year for the most outlandish support call as I'm heading to Summit. A client that I didn't even know was still in business - who is running the character-based Unix version - has an error.

You win the prize, I got some old ones but not that old, come to Atlanta and get a firm handshake from someone in the sales department that's an old timer and has been with Sage for 3 years.

I think there are people running SCO Xenix based versions of MAS90 where the server has been in a closet for 35 years and nobody even knows it there. Yet, MAS90 on SCO was THAT reliable...

Back in the Blue Screen days, ALL our clients were on SCO Unix machines... made remote support via phone line modems possible... huge advantage at the time, and yes, just that reliable....

Did they ask how long it would take to fix and what it would cost?

They have, thankfully, asked for a quote for the latest version of Sage. They are back up and running, BTW.
