  • 1.  Office 365 and emailing large number of invoices?

Client indicates that they send around 200 e-mailed invoices per day and that often client will indicate that they did not receive all invoices.  They may have 10 invoices but they did not get four of them.   Does not appear to be a spam issue at the client side.  Sage 100 indicates that they all were sent so I can only assume that the problem is after they were sent to Office 365.

Does anyone know if office 365 has some limit on the number of e-mails that can be sent daily.   Doesn't seem like 200 should be an issue to me.

I've seen this issue.  It's typically the email provider that has a daily limit, not O365.

Not an expert on Office 365, but doesn't Office 365 become the e-mail provider?  SMTP is outlook.office365.com.

Hi - I'm not sure if it was Office365, but for two customers recently, we have had to add a slight "wait" between emails (done as an MD) because the speed at which the emails were being sent caused some type of spam detection to activate at the "isp/mail processor".

Specific testing, changing only the amount of pause between the emails, showed that this resolved the issue 100%.  It didn't happen on small batches of emails even if they were sent with no wait between the emails.

I am not sure if this is the case here, but it would be a great feature for Sage to add to the system - the ability to add a pause between emails - something the user can specify.... where it would default to 0, so there would be no change required unless the user wanted to activate this feature...

    Jeff

So how did you accomplish this pause since Sage 100 does not have this as a setting?

And who was the master developer assuming I need to pursue this for my client?
