    Client shows 20 users in *INFO and 25 users in System Configuration.  I have:
    Stopped service and renamed Sessions.pvk and Location.pvk and SY_Workstation, SY_Activity, SY_Console
    I have updated the license and copied the activate.pvx into the workstation location again even though the date on it remains the same
    I logged in using MAS90 mode and *INFO gave same number
    This is all happening on the server (happens on RDP, too, but I feel like if server is screwed, I have no hope elsewhere).

    Does anyone know what file *INFO looks at compared to System Configuration?

    Are you referring to Available User Licenses or Total User Licenses? *INFO is correct in terms of how many users you should be able to get into the system.

    For Available, they both get it from the same place which is the activate.pvx  (from SYZCON you would type PRINT TCB(24) )

    For Total,
    ^  *INFO gets it from activate.pvx for which at SYZCON you would type PRINT TCB(23) 
    ^ However System Configuration Listing is getting it from the UserKey as you see in System Config / Registration tab. If you take the 3rd and 4th digits from the right (same as saying 17th and 18th from the left), that is a hexadecimal license count. IOW if you're saying it's 25 that tells me you're seeing a 19 (16 x 1 + 9).  But that doesn't mean squat if you haven't clicked the Update button in the Registration tab to update the activate.pvx. At that point *INFO would get corrected and you could get 25 in the system. NOW if they did click Update, i'ts likely they need to get everyone off then restart the App Server for updated activate.pvx to take effect. Hope that helps.

    @Alnoor Cassim - I'm talking about Total licenses.  Sage lists them as 23 license on their web site.  INFO shows 20.  System Config shows 25.
    I have updated the license and reactivated - said it did it successfully but the date is still a Nov 2019 date (which is probably when they last purchased some more users).

    I was doing all of this with no users on and stopping and starting the App.
    One thought, though - If it's actually running as a SERVICE - would it let me run the App, too, or would the App die?  Maybe I thought I was flipping it off and on and actually it remained running as a service the whole time.​

    I had problems with user count with a customer and the automatic update of keys did NOT increase the user count.  Basically what I did to set things up properly was type in the old keys, Activate, then type in the new keys, Activate, then restart the service.

    @Kevin Moyes - my issue is similar, but my INFO and SysConfig do not match AND the client purchased their additional users a year ago, not just today.  Hoping it's the service and will find out tomorrow.​

    Bless your heart, @Kevin Moyes - I went ahead and used MY set of keys and activated it, then typed in theirs again and this time it did whatever it needed to do and all is well in customer-land.

    Beth - Yes the service running will totally interfere. I wish the Update button would just warn on that. If activation was done the old way through either of the old bat files, $ActPvx.bat or $DebugAct.bat, you would see the error appear but instead it's sending the contents of the BAT file so it isn't able to capture an error.
