  • 1.  Odd dates and Crystal

    I know there are issues with invalid dates but what about really odd dates? I have a customer with invoices in history with dates like 1/10/9006. Crystal seems to hang (report has a date range parameter). Anyone else experienced this?? TIA.

    If it is interpreted as a valid date, you can add an extra filter (year(thedate) < 3000 and ...) but most often bad dates cause ODBC errors, requiring DFDM fixes.

    It helps to modify the ODBC to allow 'Null Date' on the Options Tab.  That helps the bad dates come through.

    I tried that @Nancy Hanson but same result. Oddly, when I entered just 1/10/9006 for the date parameter, it came back blank so it is not recognizing it as a valid date.​
