ODBC Security blocks everyone Sage 100 Advanced version 5.1.3. I turned on ODBC Security and went to Role Maintenance to set each Roles' access to modules. Now even though a Role with Sales Order checked, as an example, any role with access to SO can't print. Everything comes out blank. Our in-house system is exactly the same version and does not have this problem. Any guidance would be appreciated. I created a new Role and new user with the same results.

Can't print a Sales Order Form? or Can't Print Sales Journal? Journals require ODBC access to other modules, like General Ledger (I believe).

I recommend go to ODBC Security and recheck EVERYTHING for each module so they can print - then uncheck modules you don't want role to have access to like PR. What I do to troubleshoot, is to recheck a module at a time and then try to print - then you can find out which permissions are required and adjust accordingly.

Any chance the user is assigned to more than one Role? Also, any time I experience Crystal reports/forms being blank, I'll change the ODBC setting in Sys Config, hit Accept, then change the setting back.

Agree with both Mary and Bret. Do Bret's suggestion first then Mary's. What happens behind the scenes in System Configuration when you click Accept is the records from Sy_RoleSecurity and Sy_UserSecurity are copied / refreshed into Sy_ODBCSecurity. When there is a mismatch your situation happens. Also is CS ODBC driver enabled for the SO users? If so there is another data file involved in the refresh above. See if it works for a user without CS ODBC driver set in User Maint / Preferences
