  • 1.  ODBC issue from dotNet app with multiple versions of Sage 100 on same dev machine

    Tis the season for GREMLINS....

dotNet having issues on the customer's server which cannot be replicated in the dev environment (Sage 100 2022), so I got a copy of the customer's Sage 100 2020 and put it on the dev server.  Sage 100 runs fine and prints reports, new Crystal report can be created and runs fine.

Opening an ODBC connection from within the dotNet app however, the Connection.Open command just goes off into never never land - no error recorded anywhere (I turned on logging in the SOTMAS90 ODBC connection - nothing there).  No error in Visual Studio, just sits there - debug mode step into just never reaches the next line of code.

    Any ideas?

Maybe try creating a system DSN and see if you get the same behavior.
