Has anyone worked with ODBC and Quick Books?  Have a big client with 3 instances of Sage 100 looking at putting 5 more little companies on from QB on. One of them is using Job Costing.  The list of files available via ODBC has ONE file with the word "Job" in the name - JobType.  So wondering if the Job info is scattered amongst the other files (SO, and PO, etc), or if it just has a really "intuitive" name (not).

I have client that has bought some companies using QuickBooks.  One of the companies had "Job Cost".  The data related to job cost was not usable in their case for any transformation to Sage 100.  The purchase orders were especially a mess.  The parent company uses production management.  They had open jobs in an Excel spreadsheet from the company they bought.  They created work tickets in production management for open jobs.  We did a combination of imports and manual entry.  Attached is AI's response on job cost with QB.

Thanks, @Michele Herzog - I'm mostly just trying to figure out where the data is for exporting. We actually just tried the PO file last night and it spun forever and we finally gave up. So far, vendors, GL accounts, and items have exported well. Eek.

Time to dust off your copy of Monarch software and start ripping the data out of canned reports.....

    Hi Beth,

I have used a program call Transaction Pro now Rightworks - www.rightworks.com.

They have good documentation and not very expensive.

     Thanks. Jacquie.
