  • 1.  ODBC Connection when Sage is on a different Domain

    I have a client that is moving from one domain to another. Their Sage is on one domain, while their users are on another one. On their shipping workstations, they use UPS and FedEx applications. They have created a silent connection to get data. With this change the ODBC is not working. 

    Anyone have an idea on how I can get the ODBC to work across networks? I tried a Mapped Drive, IP and using the server Named but none work. Client is on Sage Advance.

    For Providex ODBC the domain doesn't matter... only Windows permissions do.

    Windows Credentials Manager might help.

    Edit:  Check firewall permissions too.

    We did try the Windows Credentials and confirmed that the user name and password were entered. I'll check firewalls next.

    Do those credentials have proper permissions on the \\server\share\MAS90 folder?

    For Advanced, if you are using CS/ODBC, be sure to check tab 2 of the silent DSN... which is where that setting is enabled.
