@MarkChinsky - Did you also oppose Bush running up deficits even in good economic times? Starting up two wars while cutting taxes? (never been done in history, even when the ""divine right of kings"" was in force.)
Do you also oppose subsidizing the oil companies, who have collected far more in those subsidies than all the green energy companies combined?
As for health care, we should join the rest of the civilized world and have a single payer system. Since the price of health care has become a ""buying group"" issue, and individuals and small businesses therefore get the worst of it, having a single payer system gives us the biggest buying group - all of us. And please don't tell me you oppose this because you don't want to subsidize others' healthcare, because you already are - those without insurance end up in ERs for non-emergency care, which is the most expensive and least effective way to provide care, and everyone who has insurance pays for that already. So we might as well be pitching in to do it right. And that health care should not have coverage dictated by the various sharias being marketed - offering coverage for something does not mean that someone who doesn't believe in it has to take it, but restricting coverage for something because some people don't believe in it is bullshit.
I am equally disgusted with both parties, as they are all about getting elected and not about actually doing the job they get elected to do, and at this point I will be voting a straight ""none of the above"" in November. Obama is too eager to compromise with psychopaths, Holder's trampling of the Constitution makes Cheney look liberal, and on the Republican side there is nothing but psychopaths (and a robot). The only one who hasn't changed his tune is Ron Paul, and he has moved from being the fringe to being the voice of reason in this bunch.
