Be aware that Greytrix has now completed the rebuild of their Sage 100 to Sage CRM integration (aka GUMU) leveraging the benefits of SData. (The original design used Sage 100 Business Objects).
What does this mean? It means that your clients with Sage 100 can now integrate with a Sage CRM instance hosted in the cloud.
Why would clients want Sage CRM hosted 'in the cloud'? Sage CRM requires an adequate server as well as MS SQL licensing. Many Sage 100 customers do not already have these prerequisites and might not want to take them on. If their IT team needs to quote them on a new box, it can be a non-starter for the CRM project. But additionally, many Sage 100 clients (or their IT teams) simply don't want to take on the responsibility that that those servers require. *Opinion – my feeling is that circumventing one's IT team is the #1 reason why SalesForce.com has done so well.
What does this really mean? It means your clients can have a hosted CRM (like SalesForce.com), that integrates with Sage 100 for about ½ of the price of SalesForce.com. But with Sage CRM too, the integration with Sage 100 is superior and there is more flexibility when it comes to making changes.
What are the prerequisites? SData has to be configured, but that isn't a big deal. If you do not want to do this yourself, Greytrix can do this for a small fee. Below are some of the other pre-requisites for this to work that you would need to consider.
- IIS needs to be installed and working on Sage 100 server.
- On the Sage 100 server, there should be Sage 100 server installation setup files which contain the setup for SData.

- This isn't mandatory, but we also advise that an SSL certificate be installed on the SData webservice system, for additional security.
