Not sure if this has been posted out here somewhere already, but thought it was worth mentioning. I have found now with one live upgrade and testing on my own that custom inventory reports from 4.30 convert over to 4.50 on their own. I saw this by adding some reports using the IM2 or IM5 tables into the 4.50 Reports directory, adding them to the menu and then running the standard Crystal conversion after attempting to preview. Opened them back up again and found that reports were now converting correctly to the CI_Item, IM_ItemWarehouse and IM_ItemTransactionHistory tables. Has anyone else encountered this after (sometimes) painstakingly re-creating a report for a 4.40 or 4.50 upgrade? And if so, any ideas why it works? I'm not complaining because obviously, this can save a lot of time preparing for an upgrade, but I've never seen that happen before, at least not that I've noticed.

I've always had very good luck with the mascrw.exe program converting files for me (since 4.10, at least). The only reports I have to recreate involve the 12 month history files and I usually take a standard report as the basis for that so I don't have so much work to do. One thing to remember - make sure you update the UDFs before running the conversion or it will crap out on non-framework files using UDFs (Payroll).

And don't forget to test each one after the mascrw conversion - I have seen reports that appeared to convert successfully but wound up hopelessly corrupt.
