    Not sure how to interpret this. Open sourcing your products is a good thing though it seems to mostly be done by companies that either want to offload a product or somehow transfer maintenance to someone else. In other words the product is essentially at end-of-life. Any thoughts on this?

    I think this is different. Infor isn't 'open sourcing' their ERP products. They are making some of their ERP products compatible with Open Source operating systems and databases and thus not exclusively supporting Windows & SQL Server. Personally I've not seen alot of demand for that. Not compared to cloud hype.

    That makes sense. In the story they talk about supporting open source so it is easier to run in a cloud environment using an open source OS.
