  • 1.  No action - Item exists in inventory history when deleting items

    v2015.
    Client purged history.  In IM_ItemTransactionHistory and IM_ItemWhseByPeriod, I found records for item that have a blank warehouse code.  For one item, I DFDM'd a whse code in all records, but still can't get the item to delete.  What other files might have records preventing these items from deletion?

    How about creating an obsolete item code and then merge the bad boy into the obsolete code?

    Well, so it turns out there was a Standard Cost Adjustment Register updated earlier this month.  Client wasn't aware of it, but when I pointed it out to her, she seemed to think it happened as part of an inventory history purge.  Methinks she was a bit confused, but that explains why the items can't be deleted.

    She also didn't want to merge items; insisted on deleting. Maybe she'll reconsider . . .

    If those items are standard cost valuation method, the cost needs to be the same cost to support merging them into another item.
