Ok, how come the March 28th Webcasts are on Tuesday March 27th? Do you get the feeling they don't really want us to attend?

Looks like no Q&A only a follow-up FAQ. What a pity.

They learned their lesson from a previous call. Those Q&A get out of hand in a HURRY!!! but you are right!!

Well, once again, we'll have the live chat here.

Maybe we can do a temporary live chat somewhere so we don't have half a dozen messages started all with 80+ replies which is what happened with Hightower. The chat is important though I'm not sure we need to ""gunk up"" Socialcast with it and some of the remarks are ""off the cuff"" and maybe we don't want them to live on forever in SC. Just .02

Nothing makes you feel less valued than being called Valued Business Partner.

It's like a car crash -- you know you shouldn't look but you just can't help it ...

Wayne - why don't we just start a single post here? Then it's saved in our lovely archives. We can probably label it ""Official March 27th Announcement from Sage"" or some such thing.

    Fine by me

I have no immediate plans to offer subscription pricing and am not planning to attend this session. I asked my partner advocate yesterday who sets priorities on what is happening at Sage. This week is the end of Easy Pay, Winback and the Small Business Edition, plus there is a price increase next week. Combine that with new promotions, such as 10% off on N-2 maintenance clients reinstating, why should we take time to attend this webinar? I am selling new product for Sage as well as us, so let me do it. Oh, and I also have major consulting projects in process. Sage seems to be under the impression we are waiting for their new announcements and we have nothing better to do.

@JohnHoyt - I think this announcement might be of interest even to those of us not interested in putting out subscriptions. Think of it from this angle: Sage is doing this today at the end of their half year period. That says something. Not sure what it say but it definitely says something.

I just did some math on a reinstatement for a 15 user customer. I would be surprised if anyone over 5 users chose subscription pricing (provided they have an option). The long term cost is easy to see as being much more expensive. It works for: - Users who are 3 to 5 users total - Unsure of exact # users - May leave MAS within 120 days - Coming back from off-plan for a short period of time - Looking to rip off Sage for a free upgrade (provided expiring codes are not required)

@PeterWolf My problem is not with Sage having the webinar, subscription pricing or changing the terms. It's the timing. Above all, they want us to sell, sell, sell and primarily new clients. This takes away from the last week effort for this quarter. It's just like everything else they have been doing lately with little or no planning. It must be a French thing, because if you've been to Paris, this is exactly how things are run over there. Just drink lots of wine all the time, relax and it won't bother you. Unfortunately I can't do that in the office.

John didn't you receive the announcement? French wine at lunch, and since Sage is a British firm, tea & scones in the afternoon.
