IMO, for Sage Intacct to take off beyond core accounting they’re going to need to build added features vs tell customers to pay Intacct $20k/year then pay a third-party another $k per year for WMS.
Hopefully this is on Sage Intacct’s long and winding roadmap for WMS. I say this because it seems Intacct has been announcing WMS as coming soon for as long as I can remember.
I base this also on looking at the conference agenda from Advantage. I think at most they had one or two WMS sessions.
My personal ( probably wrong ) opinion is most companies running warehouse systems don’t care cloud, on-prem, etc. They care that their warehouse can pick and pack before the carrier hits the loading dock at 4:30 pm that day.
So perhaps we will see some bolt on WMS. The problem is that Sage trying to tackle the worldwide market always seems spread too thin with too little common goal in mind.
