Has anyone seen these new NACHA rules?  How did you handle the encryption?

Effective June 30, 2021 for 6MM+ annual ACH transactions
Effective June 30, 2022 for 2MM+ annual ACH transactions
See below for important details on enforcement date

This rule requires companies that process 6MM+ ACH transactions annually-or 2MM+ ACH transactions annually for the later phase-to protect deposit account information by rendering it unreadable when it is stored electronically.

Note on enforcement date: This Rule will not be enforced for an additional one year from the effective dates for covered entities that are working in good faith toward compliance, but that require additional time to implement solutions. Nacha strongly encourages all such covered entities to work towards compliance as soon as possible.

I think Payroll is in compliance if using Sage Direct Deposit, if not as long as the user deletes the .ach after uploading it would be.

Wasn't vendor Electronic Payment information encryption on the road map? I am surprised this isn't already.

This should be asked of Elliot in the roundtable this month.

6,000,000 annual transactions is just a tad outside the range of my average client...  I am sure the ceiling will be lowered in the future though.

@Jeff Schwenk  Huh.  That's a bit surprising.  I thought you were one of the whales in the MAS90 arena.
