Has anyone seen these new NACHA rules? How did you handle the encryption?
Effective June 30, 2021 for 6MM+ annual ACH transactions
Effective June 30, 2022 for 2MM+ annual ACH transactions
See below for important details on enforcement date
This rule requires companies that process 6MM+ ACH transactions annually-or 2MM+ ACH transactions annually for the later phase-to protect deposit account information by rendering it unreadable when it is stored electronically.
Note on enforcement date: This Rule will not be enforced for an additional one year from the effective dates for covered entities that are working in good faith toward compliance, but that require additional time to implement solutions. Nacha strongly encourages all such covered entities to work towards compliance as soon as possible.
