New machine for client, export to Word/Excel grayed out in BIE. Sage says that means BIE is looking for it in the wrong place and has instructions for procmon.exe to figure out where it is looking. HOWEVER, from what I can see, the path BIE Is looking into does not even exist (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\""c:\Programs\Microsoft Office\Office14"" - yes, the last part is correct but appears to be incorrectly appended to the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder). Rerunning Autorun.exe for workstation setup didn't help. Anyone with any ideas?

On my Win 7 x64 Pro machine my file to open Excel 2007 is C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12\EXCEL.EXE. I do have a C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14 folder (which surprises me) but it only has 5 DLLs in there (GKExcel.dll, etc.). Of course the standard questions would be what O/S and version of Excel, not 64-bit, etc.

Dawn posted this some time ago. Does it help? Just wanted to give everyone a little heads up on a recent problem. After we upgraded from v4.40 to v4.50 in Business Insights Explorer the Excel and Word icons were grayed out. Turns out this was because on a number of computers we had Office 2007 but MS Access 2010. MAS was looking in the Office 14 folder for the Excel exe. I copied it from the Office 12 folder to Office 14 folder and it worked. Also there were issues with licensing Microsoft Office starter edition.

@HaroldWestover - I don't think so - had found something similar on Sage's web site and had already copied the executables for Word/Excel into a couple of different places. I'm going to have them repair Office and see if that helps, because Sage is looking some place now that can't even exist.

OK I've found that it IS 64-bit Office. Sage seems to think we're screwed. Has anyone gotten it to work with BIE export?

Client had IT load 32 bit instead and all is well.
