I'm not getting warm fuzzies from this highlighted statement - woe unto you if you have a rare issue on an older version...

I clicked a couple articles to "subscribe" to changes... but don't think I ever received an email for any of them.

If they removed the documentation (install guide PDF's...), and just have the search results include actual KB articles, I'd like that.  Removing old articles is just plain cruelty to those running older versions.

Will the new KB indicate what version(s) an article applies to?

Will the KB still use scripting to deliver some of the more popular resources ( think SPM ) so we cannot sent a link to an IT department to directly download a pdf?

Will it work on a Safari browser?

Will it be slightly more mobile friendly?

Will my browser constantly “break” and force me to use an incognito tab after I’ve clicked on a direct link into the KB?

Will I continue to get a deer in the headlight stare when I bring these issues up to Sage?

If they fix anything in our list of complaints from a few years ago I'll be surprised.

"Removing old articles is just plain cruelty to those running older versions.".

Why would you ever remove any KB articles?  Saving hard drive space?  Database too slow?  Ridiculous for a world class SaaS company.

The only reason I can think of would be to reduce inapplicable search results... but a date filter could solve that.  Limit results to articles created in the past ### days / years.

They say that memories are strongest with unhappy/painful events. I remember with great clarity the last time they changed the KB platform and lost a LOT of stuff. During the rollout meeting, we were encouraged to submit articles for Sage to include on the site.

I happened to be talking to a senior Sage support person when I received the email announcement so mentioned it to him.  He said that the new KB will have the ability to search on more key words and indicated that they were going to have touch each KB article that would be on the new KB.  When I mentioned that the posting indicated that this would happen in early September he seemed surprised and mentioned he was working on this and had only done a handful.

If that's really the case I'm not sure how many they will get done in the next 6+ weeks which is very alarming if we no longer can access the existing KB's!

I think this is definitely a case where we need the key people involved with this at Sage to provide our 90 Minds group with a clear understanding of what's being done/not done and we need Sage to understand that we must have a way to access the current KB for all the articles that they haven't moved to the new KB.
