New install of v4.5.6. AR module period is sitting on 1/1999. Is there any harm of jumping 10 years by setting the period to 1/2013, then running the period end. Just trying to expedite the process......... And BTW, what does the purge credit card information prompts really mean?

I don't think Period End does much any more except purge stuff based on the number of months/years history you've selected any more. You might want to put it to 12/2012, do YEAR END, then continue on. Not sure on the CC purge, although something like purging expired CC sounds familiar.

I THINK the CC purge only purges expired credit cards but I could be wrong. Does anyone recommend purging? I usually don't.

Here's the Help info: Purge Credit Card Data Select an option for purging credit card data. Select Yes to purge expired credit card data and credit card history. Expired credit card information will be purged, and credit card history entered on or before the number of days entered at the Days to Retain Credit Card History field in Accounts Receivable Options will also be purged. Select Expired Credit Cards Only to purge information for expired credit cards. Select Credit Card History Only to purge credit card history entered on or before the number of days entered at the Days to Retain Credit Card History field in Accounts Receivable Options. Select No if you do not want to purge any credit card data.
