Sage 100

New implementation of Sage 100 2017.2 ADV. Customer uses GMAIL and I have provided the typical information about how to configure the Gmail for POP, the use of port 587 / 465 with TLS/STARTTLS and we have tried every combination and it still errors. The IT staff says they are not using MS Exchange with the Gmail. Does anyone have any insight on what else I could suggest?

My notes say to use: smtp.gmail.com/465/ssl/user id email and pw but no domain.

I belivee TLS/STARTTLS is only used for Office / Exchange 365. Here is a screen shot of a gmail setup at one of my customers. You need a user id (email address) such as ap@xxxxx.com and a password. No domain.

You may also have to ""allow less secure apps"" in the google security setup. Google > My Account (not gmail setup) > Connected Apps & Sites > Allow Less Secure Apps.
