Need some ideas on keeping this simple. Have a new install client that has 20 customer price levels, 56 IM price groups and 30K items in inventory. For the most part, we have been able to handle it all via the price code table. We have about 1200 lines in the table so far. The items have one price tier for all items. But here is where it gets messy. Client has six IM price groups with two customer price levels with two pricing tiers. Still not too bad. But the quantity break is based on CASE count which varies by ITEM. My only thought on handling this is now is customer price level by ITEM. Doing a QAD calculation, this will add over 12K lines to the price code table. While I am confident that I can load the table ONCE, I have every confidence in the world that the client will NOT be able to keep it accurate. Short of scripting, does anyone have any ideas to KISS the pricing?

@JeffSchwenk what I do with clients like this is have a export/ import of the price code table to excel - that is where they manage it. Or would item price by total qty work - us that table? Just some thoughts....

Thanks. That is the current plan. Will look into the item price by total quantity. Just trying to avoid adding the 12K lines but not hopeful.

Set the Standard UOM to Case, and the purchases and sales UOMs to each?

I ended up importing 12K + lines into the price code table. Just need to figure out how the client is going to maintain it.

We have a client that uses Customer Pricing, usually associated with product lines. The sales people actually negotiate pricing with the customer. In the 90s up through about 2 years ago, we did this with an Access Data base where the Deal was recorded. Access then created a table of each Customer's item pricing. VI was used to reinitialize the price file with only non customer pricing and then used to replace customer pricing from Access. When it got to about 600k records it was taking all night. We switched to BOI to make changes, additions and deletions based on the Access Tables and now it updates in about 10 minutes.

WOW! I would like to know the reason for spectacular increase in spead.....
