  • 1.  Need help thinking outside the box

    Client keeps seeing ****XXXX in bank account field in Bank Account Maintenance.  At first we thought it was because some people who MAY have had rights to do Positive Pay, etc, didn't have the PII box checked in Roles.  Cleaned that up.  But it's back this month and while they do PP all during the month, this issue (where the bank code changes from XXXXXXXX in *****XXXXX in Bank Code Maintenance for ANY viewer) only seems to happen after they do Period End Processing.

    Anyone?

    I know most product updates reverts the bank account to the encrypted format vs. showing the full bank account number.  This is now added to my checklist after a product update as the full bank account is needed for positive pay.

    @Michele Herzog - client hasn't had any product updates or upgrades, but I have to read what you posted again - doing an upgrade will CHANGE THE ACCOUNT NUMBER to what looks like encrypted - actually CHANGES IT, not just DISPLAYS like it????????  WHAT THE WUT?​

    Normally the full bank account is displayed in common information.  Sometimes after a product update, the bank account will show up with beginning 'x' s and only show the last 4 numbers in common information.

    So I'm assuming that whatever makes that happen during an upgrade is also at play here in the Period End processing.  Things that make you go HMMMM.
