  • 1.  Need help reinstalling 2024.1 Advanced on same server as Production 2020 Advanced

    Sage 100 Consulting I installed 2024, PU1, Avatax.  Migrated data.  Forgot to reinstall Avatax. Converted one company.  Reinstalled Avatax.  A 2nd data conversion was required.  When I opened Role Maintenance, I received rhe message "Record 'R/M is messing from "memory".  I attempted to reinstall programs, but then ran into the following:

    followed by the pesky "Object Providex.Script is invalid".

    Shoot, at one point I encountered:  This is an old KB and I found irrelevant, as I had not run a 2024 workstation setup.

    Decided to re-migrate from a clean copy of the MAS90 folder, but when I run the migration, I get the Object Providex.Script is invalid" message again.  Any ideas, or do I need to perhaps uninstall 2024 and start from scratch?

    Did you rename the "bad" MAS90 folder, then copy in your backup to the correct path?  (If not, and you only did the copy, there could be some extra files left behind after the failed migration).

    Oh... and did you install v2024 as 32-bit (assuming the v2020 is running 32-bit)?  You can't mix 32-bit and 64-bit on the same machine.

    Nathan from Sage to the rescue.  There were records in SY_Task for Report Master, which he removed.  Problem solved.
