    We've engaged Kevin Dickson since February 2018 to run our QuickBooks, bank recon, and tax returns.  Last year's renewal had no change in terms and payment and I executed the renewal without board involvment. 

    This year, we have a slight price increase as follows:
    Fees for our on-going accounting services as outlined will be $650 per month, a discount of $100 from our minimum fee. The fee for the preparation of your tax return will be $1,000, a discount of $500 from our minimum fee.

    Currently we pay $550 month and our first year's return was discounted to $750 from $1000.

    I'll need approval for this price increase.

    Moira, are we able to cancel with Kevin at any point, or are we committed for one year? Not that we're planning to do that, but I'm making sure that everyone has the facts.

    @Karen O'Lane, the engagement is for a year.  January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 and covers the 2020 tax return.  I'm sure if the Executive Director was dissatisfied with the services or the board directed the Executive Director to terminate services, that Kevin would let us out of the contract.

    People - It's $8,800 for the year to have the bookkeeping and tax return done for us.

    It was:
    2018:  $6,000
    2019:  $7,000
    2020:  $7,800
    I don't think that we are in a position to get this done for less in the coming year.

    I vote yes.

    So everyone knows, the bookkeeper in prior years wasn't a CPA and we had to separately pay a CPA to prepare the tax returns. Note, Kevin gives a break off normal rates in return for using his firm to prepare the tax returns.  Kevin missed out on the 2018 return as the prior bookkeeper had engaged KLA without notifying the board before he was fired and we were stuck using the old CPA and billed for it in 2019.  (odd though the old CPAs rate dropped significantly that year)

    For 2015 the tax return was $1,000
    2016 it increased to $1,250
    2017 is increased to $1,375
    2018 it dropped to $625 without explanation
    2019 it increased slightly $750

    I'd recap the accounting services and tax preparation for prior years to including extra charges:

    2018 $6,625
    2019 $7,350
