My customer needs to give a rebate to their customers when a particular product is ordered. So if the customer orders 5 shirts, they will get a rebate of 5 times a particular dollar amount. And the rebate amount can change for different customers and different items. And the rebate needs to show as a rebate line item, not a discount. I tried setting up a rebate item in Misc Item Maintenance and then creating a kit to tie the rebate to the product, but Kit Maintenance will only allow Inventory items, not Misc Items. This only affects 5 customers with about 5 items each so would like to try something from within Sage 100. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

We've created a UDT with the customer/item combination with a discount/rebate rate. We've used scripting to add a new line (negative amount) to the order/invoice if that combination exists in the UDT.

There used to be a great Macabe mod to handle rebates. You might want to call DSD and see if they can put their hands on it and upgrade it to the current version.
