My client is on EES 1.4 and is having a piece of custom programming written. We would like to have a test environment on the same server but EES can't be installed twice on same server. Resolution says to install MAS90 but the EES keys won't work and the custom programming keys will be specific to the customer so can't use my keys temporarily. How can I circumvent this? My first thought is to just copy the MAS90 EES directory and put it into another folder, run wksetup and move forward without a reinstall but not sure that would work. I could install 4.5, have custom written for 4.5 and insist customer upgrade at time of go live with custom programming, not sure I want to push that though but if only way then so be it. They are not using the CRM & Fixed Assets of their EES. Any other thoughts?

Nancy, if you only need to test the MAS side of EES(not the CRM) you could have multiple installs of EES( MAS Only) on the same server, but you probably already know that. If the testing environment requires the CRM integration, then you might want to setup a Virtual PC on the server and install the exact installation of 1.4 EES in the virtual space. Just a thought.

When I try to install the ERP server, it only gives me the option to Add/Reinstall/Updates/Uninstall and no option to change my install path. Testing doesn't require CRM, so that's not a problem. VPC might be an option. Thanks

    Copy \MAS90 Run \WKSETUP

Create a new folder called something like test and then copy your mas90 folder, run workstation setup from new location. It's a good idea to go into CRM and clear the options so that the test environment doesn't affect the live CRM data.

Maybe ask the developer to make it run with 2 sets of keys - one for Mas90 reseller demo, another for end-user?
